You know the drill--you've heard it a million times. You have to STUDY, STUDY, STUDY to get good grades. But what you may not know is that studying can be completely ineffective if you're not doing it in ways that will help you learn best. Think of it this way: your mind is a tool belt with lots of room to hold many different tools. Study skills are the tools that you fill your belt with that will help you build the best grade point average you possibly can. If you put the tools in the tool belt (in other words, if you acquire effective study skills), you will have what it takes to get the grades you want.
