A. Petroleum Engineering

to enter the industry?
A. 4 years in college
Q. Were any summer internships or advanced learning
opportunities helpful in entering the industry?
A. Yes. Internships in the industry were available and proved to rewarding
as well as helpful in securing a full time position upon graduating.
Q. Does your current position allow you to travel? If so,
what was your favorite location?
A. Yes. Calgary or Anchorage are my favorite places to travel to.
Q. What opportunities do you see for yourself in the
industry?
A. I feel the industry offers me opportunities for professional development
as an engineer, communicator, team player, and leader.
Q. What are some of your favorite aspects of your job?
A. Some of my favorite aspects of my job are the daily interaction with
co-workers, opportunities to travel, seeing projects come together, and the
continuous challenges.
Q. What are some of the most surprising aspects of your job?
A. I think I was most surprised when I realized that this job would be
continual learning and that those around me with 20+ years experience are still
learning new things every day.
Q. What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A. Seeing the team's hard work come together to successfully implement a
project.
Q. What are some of your interests outside of your position
responsibilities?
A. Industry interests I have outside of my current responsibilities are
completions and production optimization.
Q. What is the most exciting technological tool that you have
either used or helped to develop in your job?
A. The most exciting technological tool I have ever used is probably the
Excape technology which is used to frac multiple intervals within a well.

helpful in your position?
