SCHOLARSHIPS

Many companies and organizations offer scholarships to students based on their major. There could be a scholarship out there just for you! Use these great resources to help you find money to pay for your college education.

Society of Petroleum Engineers Scholarships: Provides a list of scholarship opportunities offered by SPE sections and others from around the world.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarships: The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science.

Society of Exploration Geophysicists Scholarships: SEG Foundation scholarships are intended to encourage the study of the geophysics and related geosciences and to recognize students demonstrating outstanding academic merit. Through the generosity of donors, the SEG Foundation has many different scholarship opportunities.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers Scholarships and Loans: ASME Scholarship & Loans establishes and supports funding to students of mechanical engineering at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Selection is based on academic performance, character, need and ASME participation.

Fastweb: Fastweb is the nation’s leading resource to help students pay for their education. FastWeb has an extensive database of 1.3 million scholarships representing over $3 billion of aid.

NEED - In 1980, the NEED Project began as a one-day celebration of energy education. NEED educates teachers, students, families, and the general public about energy consumption, efficiency and conservation and provides tools to help educators, energy managers, and consumers use energy wisely.

National Energy Foundation - Nonprofit educational organization dedicated to the development, distribution and implementation of supplementary educational materials and programs. These resources for education relate primarily to energy, water, natural resources, science and math, technology, conservation, and the environment.

National Ocean Industries Association - NOIA’s mission is to secure reliable access and a fair regulatory and economic environment for the companies that develop the nation’s valuable offshore energy resources in an environmentally responsible manner.

Petroleum Museums: A list of petroleum museums that you can visit to learn more about the history and future of petroleum.

National Energy Foundation - Energy Action - The Energy Action website is an online resource dedicated to energy conservation, environmental stewardship and the promotion of positive action through better energy education.

Project Learning Tree – A multi-disciplinary environmental education program for educators and students in PreK-grade 12. The curriculum materials provide the tools educators need to bring the environment into the classroom and their students into the environment. Topics range from forests, wildlife, and water, to community planning, waste management and energy.

American Association of Petroleum Geologists - The membership of AAPG includes geologists, geophysicists, CEOs, managers, consultants, students and academicians. The purpose of the organization is to foster scientific research, advance the science of geology, promote technology and inspire high professional conduct.

Society of Women Engineers – A nonprofit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers - ASME is a nonprofit membership organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skills development across all engineering disciplines, toward a goal of helping the global engineering community develop solutions to benefit lives and livelihoods.

American Chemical Society - ACS is a congressionally chartered independent membership organization which represents professionals at all degree levels and in all fields of chemistry and sciences that involve chemistry.
