Making It Count Educator Advisory Board
Keeping in touch with those we aim to serve
In order for our programs to continue helping schools to empower students
and maximize opportunities, Making It Count assembled a group of experienced
advisors from school settings. We sought educators from across the country
and asked them to become our most effective way of keeping in touch with the
students, parents and school communities we hope to serve. The EAB assists
us in adapting and growing to meet the ever-changing needs of students and
educators.
In addition to meeting as a group twice a year, the board keeps in
contact with Making It Count through telephone and email communications.
They provide feedback on selected topics, such as program content and
promotional pieces, as well as help develop new ideas that will assist
Making It Count in understanding the mindset of today’s students, the
challenges of today’s educators and the needs of today’s school systems.
Each summer the Advisory Board also assists Making It Count in the selection
of the Winning Characteristics Scholarship recipients.
The Educator Advisory Board is comprised of high school educators from
across the country who work with students on a daily basis in urban,
